Return & exchange policy

RETURNS

It is your responsibility to send back returns within 14 days of receipt. The product(s) must not be damaged or show signs of wear or abuse. The product(s) must be clean and all items received (including any promotional items, the item’s case, etc.) must be returned. All items returned must be in an intact condition if a refund is expected.

If any product(s) is being returned, an email must be sent to us prior to returning it so we can reply with return instructions along with a return authorization number if need be.

Please make sure that the authorized return instructions have been read and followed before sending your parcel. All return parcels not correctly marked as per the authorized return instructions will be refused upon arrival.

All orders MUST be shipped back within 14 days from the date of purchase so that refund or exchange is applicable. This will be identified with the date that the return parcel was sent using the parcel’s tracking information. Please ensure that the product(s) is packaged well to avoid damage during shipping. If the product is found lost during transit or damaged due to poor packing, no refunds or exchanges will be permitted. This is non-negotiable and E.beu reserves the right to make the final call.

If goods have been ordered in error or are not as expected, please contact us by email and request a returns authorisation number.

If goods have been ordered in error or are unsuitable, the buyer must pay for the return postage. The relevant reference number must be quoted on accompanying documentation. Goods must be returned within 7 days of receipt, unused, in perfect condition and sent back in its original packaging.

If items are returned as unsuitable, the buyer will only be entitled to a refund on the item purchased, carriage for the items returned will be paid by the buyer. However, if you would like the item to be exchanged a representative can be sent to you depending on the locations or the item can be exchanged with carriage for the items returned will be paid by the buyer.

The Seller accepts no responsibility for items lost in transit.  It is recommended that the item is sent back with a tracking number. It is the Buyers responsibility to ensure adequate insurance is purchased to cover the items being returned.

Any faulty items which are still under the manufacturer’s warranty must be reported and sent back for inspection before a refund or a replacement can be issued. This process can take up to 6 weeks. Carriage will not be refunded when items are returned as unwanted, unsuitable or ordered in error.

Items received with broken seals will incur a 10% handling fee and those without original packaging will be subject to a 25% re-stocking fee.

WARRANTY

All E.beu scissors are warranty covered, depending on the scissors purchased the warranty  can be a 15 years  cover or 40 years cover unless specified otherwise, please take note when purchasing your item.  E.Beu scissors are warranted for any manufactory default. We will repair or replace any scissors that we find are defective or malfunctions. Please note normal wear and tear, unauthorized sharpening, and abused or damaged products are not covered. Shipping will be free of charge if the item is found faulty however if the item is not found faulty after seen by our specialist the handling both ways must be covered by the customer and is not the responsibility of E.Beu.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONS

Selling your E.Beu scissors to another party or having your E.Beu scissors serviced by an unauthorized Sharpener that are not us will void all warranties.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Sharpening + Servicing

  • Scissors should be cleaned daily with an oil and leather cloth, this is provided on purchase with your scissor and case. In the case of severe contamination (like Covid19) rinse the scissor under warm running water, then apply the specific scissor oil to the whole scissor (including the cutting edges). After wiping and distributing the oil with the leather cloth gently, with immense care of not cutting your fingers or hand.
  • You are advised to put a drop of oil in the pivot point daily, so that operation and cutting remain efficient, good and smooth for a long time durability. Store your scissors in a safe place and take extra care that there is no loose screws to prevent damage to points and cutting edges.
  • Regular sharpening and serving extends the lifespan of the scissors. Only have the scissors re-sharpened by E.Beu , as only our artisans can bring the original sharpness with the original cutting edge (convex)back to the tool with a specific technique using Japanese wet stone sharpening.

Important: E.Beu scissors should never be sharpened by machine as this will grind the convex away and will shorten the lifespan of your scissors dramatically.
